III: Vox Populi

Recent intel raised suspicions about a possible Tal Shiar outpost on Tora Lambda VI, a Federation colony located by its border. Starbase 777 sent out an away mission to investigate it, led by Anga t’Selas, a representative from the Romulan Republic, which also provided a transport vessel and civilian clothes to blend in.

The team ventured into the forest to locate abandoned warehouses, which were rumoured to be taken by the elusive Romulan secret police as a base. Unfortunately, they did not succeed in their endeavor due to an ambush, led by a Commander. The undercover officers were quickly apprehended and taken into a hidden camp, where they were stripped of their weapons and locked in two separate cells.

However, upon being questioned by the agents, revelations followed - for it wasn’t Tal Shiar who captured them, but Hhiudlir Caernu, a resistance cell on a mission to locate and neutralize the same outpost that the away team was targeting. Anga, believed to be a Republic representative, was actually an agent, who tried to lead the Starfleet officers to their certain death into an actual Tal Shiar trap. Fortunately, Emni’s team unknowingly interfered, and found them first. 

Coming to friendlier terms, the two sides decide to team up against a common foe. With the Caernu pretending to be a Tal Shiar patrol, and the away team pretending to be their prisoners, the group entered the outpost grounds, and managed to slip into a warehouse to set up explosives there, and take out a massive stock of Tal Shiar supplies.

The setup is successful, but not before they get discovered. A shootout follows, with the group having to make their way towards a transporter spot; with a few wounds and very close calls, they manage to escape, leaving the warehouse to be remotely destroyed, and the leftover agents angry…
