Starbase 777

Background

Starbase 777 was first constructed in the year 2376. A Spacedock-Type, it was designed to be a Starfleet outpost located in the Hromi Cluster, within the Xarantine Sector. With the foundation of the Khitomer Alliance in the year 2410 and 777 being in a prime location, in 2412 the station was selected to serve as a point of cultural exchange between Khitomer Alliance factions. Since then the station has been home not only to Starfleet officers or civilians, but also to members of other factions. 

777's main purpose is to promote peaceful relations and cultural exchange between the species of allied factions. Additionally serving as a key point for fleet operations in the sector, it acts as a spaceport, houses offices of both the JAG Corps and Diplomatic Corps, hosts state-of-the-art science and engineering facilities, comprises an extensive environmental ring replicating the forests of multiple planets, and has medical facilities spanning the size of a small hospital. Acting like a city in space, the station houses numerous civilian businesses to promote commerce and recreation for both civilians and staff aboard.

Both commissioned and enlisted Starfleet crew may find themselves being posted aboard the station. Additionally, 777 is also a common point for allies from the Khitomer Alliance to be sent on an exchange, so it frequently houses officers from the likes of the Romulan Republic or Klingon Empire. Civilians - family of officers assigned here, traders, or people looking to settle somewhere more unusual than a planet - are also more than welcome to find their home aboard Starbase 777.
