The Hur’q - an ancient insectoid species believed to be extinct until recently - emerged in 2409 following hibernation. This species has a complex history of the Dominion attempting to turn them into a soldier caste, resulting in them becoming an uncontrollable species solely focused on consuming life. Their return in 2409 saw them launch an attack against the Dominion - and when different factions came together to combat the Hur’q, work was done to restore their cognitive function and end the conflict. The Khitomer Alliance has been providing relief efforts to help them rebuild and aside from splinter groups who did not have their cognitive function restored, the Hur’q have been neutral towards the Alliance since.

Tzenkethi Coalition

In the early 25th century the United Federation of Planets were continually engaged in warfare against the Tzenkethi due to their efforts against other worlds. It was later discovered that the Coalition had effectively been manipulated by The Founders of the Dominion. Following this revelation, the Coalition’s defeat in battle, and the Dominion’s alliance with the Federation, the faction has rescinded any hostilities towards the United Federation of Planets.
