Falling Star

Starbase 777 received a mayday call from Tycho Brahe Station which had been hit by a coronal mass ejection and the orbital stabilisers had been knocked offline, meaning they were falling into the star they were orbiting. The USS Eventide was deployed to assist, along with the USS Fort Lauderdale and USS Heliosphere. 

A mass evacuation of was undertaken but getting too close to the station, which in turn was getting too close to the nearby star, was difficult due to the mass amounts of stellar radiation. 

Starfleet officers were sent aboard to help restore the station's shielding and evacuate the people on board. On the Eventide, engineers worked to keep structural integrity stable and shuttles were sent to help with evacuation efforts. Medical officers assisted with injured evacuees. 

Different ways to save the station were discussed, but eventually, it was lost to the star.
